May I receive a double portion of your spirit!
- 2 Kings 2:9

The chief austerities of the life consist in the usual monastic asceticism as practiced in Ancient Carmel: the midnight rising for the office of Matins, an atmosphere of silence and solitude, a meatless diet, and, once the monastery is fully established, strict observance of the enclosure.

In a spirit of service and sacrifice the Sisters carry out their daily work: cooking, cleaning, sewing, laundry, monastery correspondence, and sacristy work. They support themselves by making Mass linens: corporals, purificators and finger towels. They are presently learning to make amices as well.
